I'm going to visit malaysia (KL) in december.. how's the weather in SABAH and SAWARAK(borneo) in december??

we're planning to have a three week trip.. and sabah and sarawak sounds like a very interesting place.. my only worries are the weather during december.. is it always raining or is it also possibleto do some sight seeeing ,trekking and stuff??
