Please help me !!! my guppy is real ill!?

my guppy has been lying on his side and on the bottom on the tank for the day breathing heavy , he has now turned a very dark colour - nearly ALL BLACK , i have now moved him nto a seperate tank and i have no idea what this is ! any ideas? or if hes diying how do i make it easier for him ??????
