My hermit crab has been down for six weeks, is she ok?

You should never dig up a hermit crab unless you are positive there is something wrong, if it doesn't smell like fish in your hermit crab tank you should be fine. A fishy smell is an indicator of a dead hermie. If you do have to dig him up make sure you take him out and put him in an isolation tank with salt water, and all normal necessities.
