Cheesecake Topping for Xmas? Canned versus Homemade?
I love making things from scratch, especially when you taste a difference. I've made pumpkin cheesecake but never made the clic. I'm planning on making a NY cheesecake for this christmas and am of course looking at toppings that are red like a strawberry or strawberry rhubarb? or cherry. Neither are in season for buying fresh. I know you can buy the canned, but I am fretting over that. Will the frozen from scratch make a better topping than the canned pie fillings? If so, anyone got good recipes for cheesecake strawberry or cherry toppings?
