Creating Excel Templates?

For doing my taxes I have 4 workbooks each with multiple worksheets. Each workbook has links to the other workbooks for purposes of importing data. Each year I would like a new set of these 4 workbooks in a new folder with the links now referencing these workbooks. I have tried saving the workbooks as templates and created new worksheets from them but the links do not change to reference each other in the new folder rather the links point ot the original templates. How can I do this?
