What should I do?National Guard or Active Duty?

I have been unemployed for 4 months and good jobs around here are scarce.I would like to join the military but I can't decide between the national guard or active duty.I have friends and family in the national guard and although the weekend pay isn't very much it could help me weather the storm till I do find a job.If I go active I'll be serving with people I don't know but I won't have to worry about finding a job until I am discharged.Money is getting low and that means time is running out,I have to choose something....What would you do?
